Established in 1952, Saburomaru Distillery is the only whisky distillery in the Hokuriku region and has been producing whisky for over half a century.
For their newly built blending room – a place where history and innovation meet – Tanihata’s kumiko woodworking was selected to enrich the space.

The design abstractly captures the quiet flow of matured whisky droplets filling a barrel. Oak wood previously used in the aging of whisky was partially incorporated into the piece, reflecting the passage of time and the deep complexity of flavor unique to the distillery.
